The firm’s Principals, Beth Vogelsang, AICP and Chris Vogelsang, PE bring over 40 years of combined experience in innovative multimodal transportation planning, engineering design and implementation. OV is a regional leader in active transportation and mobility solutions, station area connectivity, and innovative community and land use planning strategies. Over the last decade, OV has led system planning and design studies and supported large-scale transportation corridor studies emphasizing active transportation options and transit alternatives. Beth is the Owner and Principal Planner of OV Consulting in Denver, Colorado. Beth is a transportation and land use planner with over twenty years of experience in land use planning, connectivity planning, and stakeholder/ community outreach and consensus building. Beth has worked extensively throughout Colorado and in the Denver metro area addressing synergistic land use densification, multimodal mobility, healthy communities planning and livable community design. Beth has a unique ability to coordinate technical project needs and local community concerns and has an extensive background working with Denver neighborhoods.
Chris is a Traffic Engineer with more than twenty years of experience in the transportation field including specific areas of expertise in bicycle and pedestrian facilities planning and design, traffic operational assessment, micro simulation of surface street traffic, and transit operational planning and design. His recent work with the City and County of Denver on bicycle facility design, traffic operational design, and parking along with his expertise in multi-modal corridor planning and design make him a leader in the Denver region. His approach in successfully completing projects is to bring innovative multi-modal planning, traffic engineering and feasible implementation together in the development of complete streets and related projects relevant to each community.
Shari is a multimodal transportation planner with over 18 years of planning experience. She has supported project team members in transit alternatives analysis, multi-modal evaluation, TDM action plans, research and analysis and community outreach. Shari is currently the Office Manager for OV Consulting, which includes budget controls, analysis and forecasting; project invoicing; team coordination and quality controls review. Shari specializes in the management of scope and financial budgets for projects ranging from $50,000 to $2 million, and the coordination of project schedules and final deliverables for project teams. Shari also works extensively in the organization and implementation of public outreach processes.
Max is an urban planner with expertise in urban design, multi-modal transportation, data analytics and GIS, and visual imagery. Max has a unique ability to translate complex, technical information into clear and understandable concepts, create engaging visual resources and develop innovative community involvement strategies designed to create better neighborhoods, corridors and places.
Fernando is a bilingual urban planner with a unique background in architectural design, urban planning and community engagement. He is working in several key Denver communities on strategic land use and transportation plans, resiliency planning, stormwater management and integrated community education and outreach strategy.
Steph recently joined OV Consulting as an urban planner with expertise in public health, active transportation education and outreach, and community-based program development. In recent years, Steph has worked in the public and non-profit sectors to employ an interdisciplinary approach to planning and program design that addresses social determinants of health and engages community members.
